Linda Lapointe
THE HONOURABLE
Linda Lapointe
Member of Parliament for Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, I am committed to making life more affordable, securing families’ futures, and supporting women’s leadership in Canada.
About Linda Lapointe

It is with immense pride that I represent the citizens of Rivière-des-Mille-Îles in the House of Commons of Canada under the Liberal Party of Canada banner. First elected in 2015 and re-elected since, serving my community in Ottawa remains one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Being a Member of Parliament is, above all, about listening. Every meeting and every exchange with the people of Rivière-des-Mille-Îles strengthens my commitment to defending their priorities and contributing to building a more just, inclusive, and caring society.

I currently serve as Chair of the Liberal Women’s Caucus, a role that allows me to advance essential issues related to equality, women’s leadership, and women’s participation in public life. I also serve as Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy, and Ethics, in addition to being a member of the Standing Committee on International Trade. These responsibilities give me the opportunity to actively contribute to policies that promote transparency, public trust, and economic opportunities for Canada.

From 2020 to 2025, I worked in the Prime Minister’s Office as a liaison officer. This experience allowed me to work closely with civil society, businesses, and various partners to strengthen collaboration between communities and government. It deeply enriched my understanding of the role dialogue plays in achieving concrete and lasting change.

Before entering federal politics, I was an entrepreneur and community leader. As owner of the family business Provigo Lapointe et Fille, I developed a strong sense of responsibility, customer service, and teamwork - values that continue to guide my political work.

My political journey began in 2007, when I was elected as a Member of the National Assembly of Quebec for the riding of Groulx. I served as spokesperson for economic development and Montreal, as well as Deputy Whip. This experience taught me the importance of collaboration, rigor, and determination in the service of the common good.

Throughout my career, whether in business or politics, I have remained driven by a single goal: promoting equal opportunities, supporting women’s leadership, and contributing to a strong, engaged, and forward-looking Canada.
